Greenmosphere Launch

Ahmedabad, 24 December 2021: Adani Total Gas Ltd (ATGL), India’s largest private CGD company, and a joint venture between the Adani Group and TotalEnergies, has launched a new green initiative that targets afforestation, outreach to millennials, and energy audits. Titled Greenmosphere, this ATGL initiative will drive mass tree plantation programmes, spread awareness about climate change among the young, and encourage sustainable energy practices through energy audits.

Speaking at the launch of Greenmosphere Mr. Pranav Adani, MD - Agro and Oil & Gas, Adani Group said, “If we are to achieve climate change targets, we need to build strong partnerships with all stakeholders – including governments, corporations and society-at-large. As a responsible corporate citizen, the Adani Group cares for the welfare of communities everywhere. This is why we are determined to give back to society through innovative, sustainable, long-term solutions.”

Forest Activity

“Miyawaki” Methodology of forestation helps in creating dense forest in minimum area. Though this methodology, we have planted trees as the first step of creating a greener world, the details are:

Green Millennials Activity

Our awareness initiative is futuristic as we are aggressively training the coming generation, also known as “millennials” to be “Green Ambassadors”. This is a five-week interactive training program conducted by professionals where students are made aware of climate change and sustainable solutions.

Energy Audit Acitivity

It is rightly said “Prevention is always better than cure,” thus to avoid energy wastage in various sectors of society (Industrial, Commercial and Residential), a thorough energy audit was conducted at:

After the audit, a detailed report is shared so that one can prevent energy wastage. This not only helps in saving of expenses but also in saving the carbon foot prints caused due to wastage of energy

Forest Activity

ATGL organized an education session of educating students and teachers about Miyawaki Methodology and planted 3,070 saplings of 5 mixed varieties at Calorx Olive International School on 26th Jan’22, making the total number of samplings planted to 5145 in two months!

Green Millennials Activity

ATGL collaborated with Anand Niketen School for educating the young minds about climate change from grade 5th to 7th and organized first training session from 24th – 28th January (Online). There were more than 450+ enthusiastic students who participated in this interactive training. They also discovered about the SDG goals and few practical ways to control climate control.

The second session with Calorx Olive International School took place on 21st Januray (Online) with 70+ students
